You might be feeling lonely, afraid, lost, confused, unhappy, sad, or abandoned; maybe even a combination. A belief about “not being good enough” or “that it was your fault” has controlled your life for way too long. Your struggle to make your own suffering and most hurtful beliefs disappear has left you feeling hopeless, guilty, and lost about the direction of your life.
Some of your pain might be coming from being asked to grow up too fast or being asked to do things that were unfair or unrealistic; which led you to lose your voice or direction in your own life. You may have been put in unbearable situations that placed enormous pressure on you to win an impossible battle.
I am passionate about helping people feel safe to stand with their hurt and transition to a perspective that is empowering, supportive, and kind. Often what is most hurtful, is the most important to your growth. By developing and improving your skills in therapy, it will allow you to start living the life that YOU want to live. You are your biggest strength and I am here to help you see that.
Whether or not you have had experiences with therapy, I am here to guide and support you on your journey of healing and self-discovery. Although people can feel intimidated by therapy because they do not know what to expect, I want you to know it is important for me to create a safe space for you to share and understand your experiences and emotions. This is when true relief, growth, and freedom will happen.
I have a master’s degree in Social Work from the University at Buffalo and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Utah, as well as New York. I have been very fortunate to see many people make changes in their lives and overcome challenges related to anxiety, depression, boundary setting and life transitions. Over my ten years practicing in the field of social work, I have received significant professional training in treatment modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
People that I work with who are motivated, ready for change, and willing to do the really hard work in therapy, can truly reach their goals and live the life they envision; which I am honored to witness and guide as your therapist. I am here when you are ready to take the first step to regain control over your life. I look forward to working with you!
